1st MS Advisory Assembly was held on Friday, August 30th! Congratulations to all the students who did a wonderful job at presenting their Advisory name in a creative and entertaining way! I will post some pictures of some of the presentations next week.

- Student Ambassador Retreat at Temple Bay: Friday, September 6th 8:00-3:30pm. We have a super group of 38 students in our Student Ambassador program this year! We are looking forward to a great year with organized instruction throughout the year. The first of these instructional and training workshops will be held this coming Friday. Students will be receiving instruction on communication skills, leadership, meeting new people and team building. All Student Ambassadors, whether old or new, are required to attend.
- FCD " Freedom From Chemical Dependency" : September 9th-13th. We are fortunate to have two specialists from USA FCD will be on campus during the week of September 9th. Each specialist will work with either MS or HS. Workshops will be given to 7th and 8th grade students in prevention and drug awareness. Full grade level assemblies will be given to 6th-8th grade levels.
- MAP testing: September 11th-20th Make up days are on September 23rd and 24th.
- Tests will be Reading, Language Usage, Math and Science.
- There is no preparation to be done for MAP tests. However, please have a healthy breakfast and a good sleep before you come to school on MAP testing days.
- The results of MAP will be used by teachers to better individualize instruction in these 4 content areas and to see the student's progress over time.
